Robert Curry has more than 26 years of personal and professional experience working with behavioral issues, substance abuse and addictions of all types. He created Turning Point For Leaders, LLC in 2007 with the goal of bringing together seasoned professionals with a similar passion for and dedication to helping businesses and their leaders address addiction issues. His goal is to position Turning Point For Leaders as the premier provider of coaching and consulting services for substance abuse and addiction recovery to leaders and their organizations.

Robert’s broad range of consulting and coaching skills and business perspective enable him to work in close partnership with corporate and professional leaders. His ability to help them see themselves as others see them has proven key to their recovery and personal development, often taking them beyond the highest expectations of themselves and of those in their organization. Robert’s easy going, practical consulting and coaching style is coupled with a thorough knowledge of the recovery process, industry resources and how to bring them to bear appropriately in each unique situation.

Robert founded Curry Associates, a professional services firm in 1997 to provide executive coaching. Prior to Curry Associates, Robert honed his coaching and leader recovery skills working for Right Management, Drake Beam Morin, and the Strickland Group with clients such as AOL Time Warner, Deloitte & Touche, Det Norske Veritas, GE, Motown Records, Rabo Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Neuberger Berman, Alleghany Teledyne and The Episcopal Church U.S.A.

Robert has taught executive coaching, communications and team building at the graduate university level. He is a founding member of the Coaching Coalition of Greater New York. Having served in senior line and staff positions and as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, BP-Amoco, J.P. Morgan Chase, and the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, Robert has worked at every corporate level addressing challenging leadership issues. He also served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps.

Robert holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.B.A., in Finance from Columbia University. He has trained at The Betty Ford Institute, The Meadows, The Relational Life Institute, The Westchester Institute For Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Institute for Rational-Emotive Therapy, and Tavistock Institute for Group Relations.

He is married with three adult daughters and lives in New Canaan, Connecticut where he enjoys family activities, amateur acting, travel and skiing.
